Image by John Swannell and Elena Fini from the website hereCapa and a lot of other people I know go skating to the Harbourfront every winter. This year, I've decided to join them and learn to skate. I am looking forward to sliding gracefully across the ice, but.... I am the clumsiest person out there, so bruises and cuts are inevitable.
The Harbourfront Rink is open 7 days a week 'till late. Admission is free, and skate rentals are very reasonable (rentals available Mon-Fri, 10a.m.-6p.m.). The rink also offers skating classes-see the complete schedule here.
The DJ Skate Nights begin this Saturday, Dec. 5, and will run every Saturday 'till Feb.13. Full schedule and details will be posted here shortly.
I will be attending a drop-in learn-to-skate workshop on Wednesday, December 16 @7p.m ($20+ skates rental fee). You are welcome to join!

Nathan Phillips Square skating rink should be open as well.
