Mildred's Temple Kitchen

 A few weeks ago I bought a Groupon for Mildred’s Temple Kitchen ($30 for $60 worth of food and drinks) and I decided to take my mom out for a nice dinner. She loves good food and appreciates smart décor and lighting, so Mildred’s seemed to be a wise choice for our girls’ night out.

This was the only item from the Lanvin for H&M collection that I really liked...up until the moment I found it in New York...Thanks, but no, Thanks

I've spent a few days in New York over the Holidays and of course I shopped there. Yes, I knew that Toronto is way behind NY when it comes to fashion. Yes, I knew they had so much more to choose from.

But I was very embarrassed to find out that NYC H&M stores were flooded with Lanvin collection and it wasn't selling! Just think of all the crazy line-ups we had here! Think of all the young women that were in front of the closed stores for hours. And for what? Just to get their hands on a few dresses that aren't even good enough for the New Yorkers? What a shame!

I’ve had this shirt for years. It’s deep red, with cream trimming and a bird print. I’ve worn it to work, to weekend brunches, and to the grocery store. I’ve washed and tumble-dried it a million times, and I still love it as much as I did the day I got it. It’s a Pink Martini shirt.
